Congratulations on the “Best Companies to Work for in Asia” accolade for Liberty Insurance!

Thanks! We are honored to receive the "Asia's Best Place to Work" award, especially since we are the first non-life insurance company in Vietnam to receive this accolade from HR Asia, the region’s leading magazine. Liberty has been in business since 1912 and we have always believed that progress happens when people feel secure.

Sixteen years ago, we saw the potential of the Vietnam market and established our presence here. From a modest set-up, we now have more than 320 employees in the country, with most of our staff working out of our Ho Chi Minh City office.  This Award goes to everyone who make Liberty a great place to work in, and most of all, to the HR team, for their tireless commitment in putting our people first.

Winning the Award caps many years of hard work put in by the HR team. They’ve always stayed focused, especially with the many challenges and changes that have taken place at both the industry and company levels. I’m especially proud of them because they know that their work – guided by our Identity and Values - contributes to the overall employee experience and makes Liberty a great place to work in.

As a Company, we’ve always believed in empowering our employees; a key tenet is harnessing the diversity of our workforce. Every member of our staff brings their unique experience and strengths which adds to the richness of culture across the organization.

The pandemic has also brought out the best in our staff. They adapted and adjusted quickly, without compromising quality and efficient service to our customers, partners and intermediaries.

This Award celebrates all that; and we look forward to building on what we’ve achieved. Our people will continue to be our most important asset and we will continue to fully develop their potential. We evaluate our policies regularly to ensure that these are aligned with our values, are fit for purpose and are in line with industry and HR best practices. Our policies provide clarity and are signposts for a high performance culture and operational excellence. Over the past few years, we have reviewed our processes and ensured that they were in line with our global practices. We also digitized them so that we not only provide a consistent employee experience but also attract and retain the best talent.

The implementation of our digital human resource management system has enabled us to empower both our managers and employees and support them at every stage of their career with us. We aim to provide a seamless employee experience that forms part of our talent retention strategy.

We are also one of the first companies in Vietnam to apply a flexible and hybrid working policy. This allows employees the ability to have work-life balance while contributing to the Company’s objectives.

In addition, we are also proud to be a Diversity – Inclusion – Equity (DEI) company, ensuring support and advancement opportunities for all employees. Over the past few years, we have actively sought to broaden female representation on our leadership team and we are pleased that close to half of the team now comprises females – which is a record high!  We are very encouraged by this, and by the increasing awareness of DEI across the organization.
